Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2025

Overview

EdgeBar is a native macOS application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information EdgeBar collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Information We Collect

EdgeBar does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. The app runs entirely on your device and does not connect to any external servers operated by us.

EdgeBar requires macOS Accessibility permission solely to read trackpad input events. This permission is used exclusively on-device and no input data is ever sent off your Mac.

License Activation

EdgeBar uses Gumroad to process payments. When you purchase a license, your payment and email are handled by Gumroad under their own privacy policy. EdgeBar stores your license key locally in your Mac's Keychain — it is never transmitted to us.

Analytics & Tracking

EdgeBar does not use any analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. We have no visibility into how you use the app.

Third-Party Services

This website (edgebar.xyz) is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL) as part of their infrastructure. Please refer to Vercel's Privacy Policy for details.

Children's Privacy

EdgeBar is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above. Continued use of EdgeBar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
